Musée Fernand-Léger

Fernand-Léger Museum

The Fernand Léger Museum was built in 1957 on the initiative of Nadia Léger, shortly after Léger’s death. It is housed in the Mas Saint-André, near Cannes, which was bought by Georges Bauquier, Louis Aragon, Elsa Triolet and Nadia Léger for that purpose. Donated to the French state in 1967, and inaugurated by André Malraux in 1969, the museum offers a collection of works which trace the stages in Léger’s artistic career from 1905 to 1955.
