"Intimacy" Stole

Intimacy is one of four panels painted by Edouard Vuillard for the Parisian apartment of Dr. Henry Vaquez (1860-1936), with "The Music", "The Choice of Books" and "The Work".

The cardiologist, a doctor of Daudet and Marcel Proust was a passionate amateur of modern art.

The original piece is gone, but Jacques Salomon, a witness, recalls that the panels that adorned the walls reflected as so many strange mirrors.
