In the 13th century, Paris established itself as a major artistic centre in Europe. Demographic growth, the presence of the king and of the university, lead to unparalleled urban expansion. The presence of the greatest thinkers of the time in Paris, transformed the aesthetic approach, and encouraged artists to observe directly the nature, what was something unheard of until then. The exhibition presents the wealth of architectural and sculptural creativity, not only through well-know disappeared. It also highlights the relationship between architecture and the other arts.
