Queen's Pearls Bracelet - 3 rows
This bracelet made of imitation glass beads is inspired by a necklace worn by Queen Marie Antoinette on a portrait painted in 1788 by Elisabeth Louise Vigée-Lebrun. This portait was intended to glorify the queen, who was enduring a terrible defamation campaign at the time.
In the painting, Marie-Antoinette appears sumptuously dressed in blue and white, decked out in pearls and an aigrette of precious stones. The royal crown, symbol of her legitimacy, lies near her on a cushion.
