Au cas où "Levity" Brooch - Andrea Vaggione
This steel brooch is shaped like a cicada's wing, created by the Argentinean designer Andrea Vaggione.
"My jewels illustrate my history and my search for elsewhere. Wings chained together but mobile, free but tied, inseparable but independent."
Originally from Argentina, designer Andrea Vaggione discovered the world of contemporary jewellery in 2001. In 2005, she left Argentina for Barcelona where she worked for 5 years, learning the techniques of blacksmithing. In 2012, she won the Talents de Mode competition and set up her workshop in Lyon (France) at the Village des Créateurs.
Her refined creations are a meeting between the craftsman's gesture, art and design. A delicate and refined work, essentially inspired by nature, botany, and plants, articulating around the notions of permanent transformation, perpetual movement, birth and rebirth.
The wooden stand is included, it is part of the object.
