Snake Brooch
The original meaning of this decoration is still not known. It may have been used to adorn a chariot, a shield or a piece of furniture. No discoveries to date can shed any light on its original use.
The Chinese consider the serpent to be a benevolent creature symbolizing wisdom and bringing good luck.
