Special edition Le Point - Picasso Comics
We knew that the artist had been influenced by the Africa of the Fang masks, Antiquity and its miniatures, circus acrobats or Goya, but did we know that he was passionate about comics and that it played a big role in his work?
It is this little-known passion that this richly illustrated 100-page special edition allows us to discover.
Through this special edition, Le Point offers you a unique journey into the visual culture of an artist who drew his inspiration wherever he wanted. It is also the story of how Picasso gradually became a comic strip character, integrating, through his life or his works, the plates of the great authors.
This special issue includes: iconic but also little-known works by Picasso, an interview with Laurent Le Bon, President of the Musée national Picasso-Paris, testimonies by Milo Manara and Art Spiegelman, texts by Marc Lambron, Christophe Ono-dit-Biot and Romain Brethes, and the precious collaboration of the exhibition's curators, Vincent Bernière and Johan Popelard.
