Leonardo Da Vinci Flying machine Ornithopter Model Kit - Italery
The ornithopter is a machine designed to obtain flight in imitation of birds, through the movement of the wings. In 1485 Leonardo da Vinci began to study the flight of various birds. He understood that a man did not have the necessary strength and was too heavy to fly simply with wings worn on his arms, so he designed a machine, where a man lying on a bench would move two large membranous wings thanks to a series of levers, pedals and pulleys.
