
Music box : "Il pleut bergère..."
The story is that it was sung at the creation of the National Guard after the storming of the Bastille and that its author has fredonnée few years later amount to the scaffold. The shepherdess refers to Queen Marie-Antoinette and the Petit Trianon.
This box is illustrated with engravings of fashion including Marie-Antoinette.
