Beaux Arts Special Edition / Uderzo, like a magic potion
For its reopening, the Maillol museum is striking hard by devoting the first major exhibition to the scriptwriter-draftsman Albert Uderzo. A tribute to the artist, who died a little over a year ago, who invented, in 1959 with his friend René Goscinny, the characters of Asterix, Obelix and all their friends.
This edition provides the keys to Uderzo's artistic genius, analysing the comic and non-comic aspects of his drawings and his ability to reproduce all the nuances of human feelings.
Beaux Arts Éditions revisits the amazing life of a man and artist of Italian origin, who understood so well the deep nature of the French and whose original plates are worth a fortune today.
