The Centre Pompidou and the Musée Fabre in Montpellier offer a rereading of the work of the sculptor Germaine Richier, who died in 1959, whose work marks a fundamental stage in the evolution of 20th century sculpture, between Rodin and César. The special issue accompanying this retrospective looks back at the great modernity of her bronzes, which question the human figure by hybridizing it with the animal and plant world.
Exhibition at the Centre Pompidou, Paris from 1st March to 12 June 2023 and at the musée Fabre, from 15 July to 05 November 2023.
