Water Lilies Pendant with chain
Jewellery inspired by the "Water Lilies" of Claude Monet (1840 - 1926).
The Water Lilies are the expression and the achievement of Monet's artistic thought process, and the mad project of a painter who wanted to explore all the variations of the light in his garden in Giverny.
By choosing the Orangerie building in the Tuileries to host his work devoted to nature and peace, Monet wanted to create the perfect match between the Water Lilies project and its exhibition.
The Orangerie offered the perspective of a place set back from the town and propitious to contemplation. The Water Lilies are exhibited there since 1927.
