The Summer Olympic games that will take place in Paris in 2024 are the opportunity, for Monnaie de Paris to celebrate this major international competition through a series celebrating Sport, its values and the athletes. Olympism and Paralympism will be highlighted on those products, struck in France in our art workshops.

Judo is a martial art, derived from jujitsu, created in Japan by Dr. Jigoro Kano in 1882. Judo means "way of suppleness" in Japanese. It made its appearance at the Tokyo Olympic Games in 1964 for men and from 1992 in Barcelona for women.
