New event in perspective at the Louis Vuitton Foundation. On the 1st floor, a presentation is announced exploring the entire history of one of the most famous paintings by Henri Matisse (1869-1954), L'Atelier rouge, created for the collector Sergei Chtchoukine, around which will be brought together all the paintings and objects featured in this same painting... An opportunity also to return to the genesis and history of this famous masterpiece from 1911, one of the emblematic works of MoMA since its acquisition in 1949. The artist there represents his studio and the paintings, sculptures and decorative objects it contains. This ode to color will continue with a celebration, in the form of a retrospective, of the centenary of the American abstract artist Ellsworth Kelly (1923-2015), author of a work of fascinating vitality and claimed hedonism. Finally, in the context of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris and LVMH's support for this event, the Foundation is presenting on the second level works belonging to the Collection, or having appeared in a recent exhibition, around sport and the universal values that 'it represents.
Beaux Arts Éditions devotes an exceptional double issue to these two great names in color.
