Rose Bush Klimt Stole
Stole inspired by a detail of the work of Gustave Klimt, "Roses under the trees", made like most of Klimt's landscapes, during the summer holidays in Litzlberg where the painter stayed in 1904 and 1905.
The canvas is covered with touches of color or brief strokes of brush in the manner of a decorative pattern or a mosaic. What the painter observes serves him only as a trigger. The real subject of the painting is the pictorial structure itself.
