The Pater is the first work of the philosopher Mucha. It appeared in Paris on 20 December 1899, just before the changeover to the new century. The plates of the work, digitised from the original copy kept at the Mucha Foundation, are reproduced here in their entirety in exceptional quality. In the introduction, several texts by specialists allow us to understand The Father as a whole and to grasp the issues at stake.
