The Art of celebration at the Valois court

In the autumn of 2020, Fontainebleau will revive the sumptuous festivities held at the Cour des Valois, from the reign of Francis I to the one of Henry III. About a hundred works, from the greatest museums of Europe, will allow us to understand the course of these festivities and to grasp all the shine. In the 16th century, the Château de Fontainebleau was an unmissable venue for celebrations. Masquerades in the cour Ovale, water shows on the Etang aux Carpes, banquets and performances in the park of the castle have left their mark on memories.
