Inaugurated in June 1938, the Musée de l'Homme presents the evolution of Man and societies, by merging the biological, social and cultural approaches according to the thought of Paul Rivet: "Humanity is an indivisible whole, not only in space, but also in time". Located in the Passy wing of the Palais de Chaillot (Paris 16th) in a building built on the occasion of the Universal Exhibition of 1937, it reopened in 2015 after more than 5 years of closure, reaffirming the concept of museum-laboratory wanted by its founder.
