FRENCH LANGUAGE The first guides in the famous Nagel Travel Encyclopaedia collection, with its red and white hardback cover, appeared between the early 1950s and the 1970s. They are no longer published today. At the time, the publisher Nagel aimed its publications at the "general humanist public", with titles of sober and elegant graphic design, and aimed at universalism: it was the first to publish a tourist guide dedicated to the Moon, the 175th opus of the collection, the only one to be illustrated.
