
Clear File Hokusai - The Wave
Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849), painter, draughtsman and engraver, is one of Japan's greatest and most influential artists. He renewed the art of engraving with his famous works as "Under the wave off Knagawa" which is the first in a serie of prints entitled Thirty-six views of Mount Fuji published between 1831 and 1833.
