This cotton and wood fan is published for the exhibition "Buddha, the golden legend". It is inspired by a Japanese kesa from the late 18th century.

Kesa made in the fabric of a no theatre dress, Edo period, late 18th - early 19th century, Japan - Silk and strips of gold (kinran) and silver (ginran) paper; ikate, stapled and thrown; taffeta lining. H.116; L.206 cm.
