Macha bowl - Lightning on Tenmoku
The Tenmoku technique originates from China, more precisely from Mount Tenmoku, renowned since ancient times for its great Zen Buddhist monastery, but also for its production of quality green tea. From the Song Dynasty onwards, the use of bowls from the Kenyo region became very fashionable for the Macha drink, and replaced the usual celadon bowls.
