Beaux Arts Special Edition / The Golden Age of English Painting
British painting experienced its golden age between about 1760 and 1820. The excellence of the artists was then expressed mainly in portraits and landscapes, whose great figures were Sir Joshua Reynolds, Thomas Gainsborough, or Turner.
Beaux Arts Éditions paints a panorama of this golden age by highlighting its originality and diversity. From the creation of the Royal Academy, with artists such as Reynolds and Gainsborough, to the new turning point that began in the early 19th century, notably with Turner.
