Engraving Dancer - Ripa De Roveredo
Engraved plate with aquatint and etching
Yvonne Ripa de Roveredo (1882-1976), a committed woman, poet, painter and engraver, was inspired for this engraving by the choreographic work of Isadora Duncan, a pioneer of modern dance. Both artists placed great importance on the notions of harmony and spirituality in art, notions that are fully expressed in the composition of this print.
