Musée Picasso Paris
A book was needed to discover the treasures of the Picasso-Paris National Museum.
Reproducing more than 400 works, structured chronologically, this book retraces the career of Pablo Picasso, following the different periods of his work, from the blue period to the late portrait The Young Painter of 1972. Each period is introduced by a summary text explaining the major formal principles that governed his work.
Under the direction of Anne Baldassari, General Curator of Heritage, the scientific team of the Musée national Picasso-Paris approaches the collection by type of work (painting, sculpture, ceramics, graphic arts, illustrated books, archives). A vast chronology links biography and exegesis of the work.
