Delivery and returns

Delivery options

The items ordered are delivered to their recipient under the following conditions:

1. Delivery times

Delivery times vary according to the product(s) concerned, the formula chosen and the destination of the order.

Products will be dispatched to the customer within the timescale announced on the website, and in any event no later than 30 days from the day following receipt of the order.

We remind you that, except on public holidays, orders placed from Monday morning to Thursday evening are processed the following day, orders placed from Friday morning to Sunday evening are processed the following Monday.

For prints, delivery times are estimated to be 3-4 weeks. They are made by our Ateliers d'Art and shipped by Colissimo.

Deliveries in mainland France and Monaco

  • Colissimo suivi France (delivery within 72 hours)

  • Chronopost France (delivery within 48 hours)

  • Point de retrait France (delivery within 3-4 days)


Deliveries in Europe

  • Colissimo suivi Europe (delivery within 3 to 8 days)


Other delivery zones

  • Colissimo International (delivery within 5 to 9 days)

2. Shipping costs

Delivery charges vary according to the product(s) concerned, the delivery option chosen and the delivery zone.


These amounts are indicated at the time the order is placed (see article 5 of the General Terms and Conditions).


Customers are informed that they may be required to pay several delivery charges for the same order, depending on the type of product ordered.


Delivery to a collection point in mainland France is free of charge for orders of €80 or more including VAT (excluding delivery charges).

This offer applies to all items on the site, with the exception of print-on-demand and non-standard items requiring additional delivery charges.


During promotional operations on shipping costs, as free delivery of books is prohibited in the context of online sales (law of July 8, 2014), if the order includes one or more books, the rate applied will be €1 (if the total amount of books is over €35 inc. VAT) or €3 (if the total amount of books is under €35 inc. VAT).

3. Order tracking and delivery

Customers are informed of the dispatch of their order by an email containing a delivery tracking link.


Customers can find their tracking number in their personal account at: https://www.boutiquesdemusees.fr/fr/compte/ by clicking on "Order details".

The Customer undertakes to take delivery of the products ordered at the delivery address indicated on the order confirmation email.

The Customer must date and sign the delivery note presented by the carrier. This dated and signed delivery note is proof of transport and delivery.

In case of absence, the Customer has a period of time indicated by the carrier to receive the parcel.

In the case of delivery at a collection point, the order will be made available at the collection point of the Customer's choice for a limited period of ten (10) working days. The order will be handed over upon presentation of proof of identity and the collection form.

In the event of the Collection Point being saturated or closed, the order will automatically be routed to the nearest Collection Point according to availability.

In the event of absence, you will have the time indicated by the carrier to receive your parcel.

Please note: In the event of failure to collect your order within the specified time, the products will be returned to the Vendor, who reserves the right to refund the amount of the order, excluding delivery charges, which will remain payable by the Customer.

Making a return

Boutiques de musées strives to ensure your complete satisfaction with your purchases. However, if you wish to return or exchange a product, please follow the instructions below.

You have 14 working days (from delivery or collection of your parcel) to exchange or be reimbursed for the items.

Exchanges and refunds are not possible in stores.

Please note: the return costs of the returned product(s) are at your expense.

Did you order with an account?

To request a refund, log on to "My Account", under "Orders". Click on "RETURN ITEM" on the order concerned. Fill in the required information (items to be returned, quantity, reason for return) to send us your request. You will then receive an email with instructions for completing the returns procedure.

Did you order without an account?


To return or exchange an item, please enter your email address and order number on this page https://www.boutiquesdemusees.fr/en/returns/ to access the online form. Once you have completed the form, a returns slip will automatically be sent to your e-mail address. This must be inserted in the parcel in order to validate your return.

Alternatively, you can contact Customer Service by post or email, specifying the following information:

  • Order number

  • The product(s) to be returned

To return a print-on-demand order and obtain a refund, please contact our Customer Service by post or by email, specifying the following information:

  • Order number

  • The date of receipt of the order

  • The print(s) you wish to return

  • Your e-mail address

You have 14 working days (from delivery) to return the print(s).

3. For Engravings


To return an engraving and obtain a refund, please contact our Customer Service by post or email, specifying the following information:

4. Defective items

In accordance with legal provisions, delivered products are covered by the guarantee of conformity and the legal guarantee against hidden defects resulting from a material, design or manufacturing defect affecting the product and making it inappropriate for use.

In order to claim your rights, you must, under penalty of forfeiture of any action relating thereto: inform our Customer Service in writing of the existence of the non-conformity of the product delivered or of the latent defect affecting the product within a short time of its discovery.

If the item must be returned to us, we will then send you a prepaid label to place on the parcel to return your non-conforming product.
