Nu Bleu IV created in 1952 in the workshop of the Régina, is part of a set of four compositions created with cut-outs, the Nus Bleus series. Compared to the other three, Nu Bleu IV is produced over a long time - whereas all the other paintings in the Nus Bleus collection are produced with one single snip of scissors. It is recognized as the template for the others, with pencil strokes and adjustments to the blue paper cut-outs still visible.
