When Toulouse-Lautrec discovered Montmartre, Aristide Bruant sang at the Mirliton; the Moulin Rouge, after the Moulin de la Galette, opened its doors to dancers, the Goulue and Valentin le Désonsé were the stars. A passionate spectator, Lautrec became a friend of the stars and, through his posters, the architect of their glory.

Claire Frèches-Thory and José Frèches lead us in the footsteps of this young aristocrat from Albi who was made different by the disease. To the nature and landscape of the Southwest, to the subtle nuances of the skies, he quickly preferred Paris and the cabarets, the limelight and the night lights that make women more beautiful.
