The Château Borély - Musée des Arts décoratifs, de la Faïence et de la Mode de Marseille has organised an exhibition devoted to a taste for the exotic. With the collaboration of numerous partners and institutions, this exhibition will bring together more than 400 works of art from the collections of the City of Marseille and generous loans from private collections. The exhibitions will shed new and spectacular light on this ubiquitous theme in the decorative arts of the 18th and 19th centuries in the Phocaean capital, whose history of commercial and cultural exchanges with the whole world has enabled passionate local collectors to leave us a precious heritage.
