It is through his graphic work that the Center Pompidou is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the death of Pablo Picasso (1881-1973). If it is no longer worth returning to the pictorial work of the ogre Picasso, his graphic creation is perhaps less known, and yet drawing is a real laboratory, the place for the artist to 'an invention always renewed around the powers of the line, ranging from the serpentine line to the hatched drawing and the proliferating compositions, from the delicate shades of pastel to the deep blacks of ink. Through 1,000 works - notebooks, drawings and engravings, most of which come from the collection of the Musée Picasso-Paris - the exhibition offers us a true immersion into the heart of the artist's work. Upsetting the strict chronology.
Beaux Arts Éditions accompanies the exhibition and immerses us in the compulsive and creative world of Picasso.
