The largest retrospective to date devoted to the work of the Austrian artist Franz West (1947-2012). Nearly 200 works created between 1972 and 2012: drawings, sculptures, furniture, monumental outdoor works... to appreciate both the exceptional capacity for plastic invention and the irreverent and sarcastic sensitivity of this artist, one of the most influential of the last fifty years.

With the exhibition dedicated to the work of Franz West, by the Centre Pompidou, Les Editions du Centre Pompidou have published a new exhibition catalogue, directed by Christine Macel and Marc Godfrey.

The catalogue is illustrated with pictures of his artwork, alongside with texts from Christine Macel, Mark Godfrey (museum curator of the Tate museum), Martin Prinzhorn, but also unseen testimonies, based on the interviews of his friends, artists, museum curators, etc.

A richly illustrated biography completes this corpus.
