Jeff Koons

Jeff Koons is at the same time the world's most expensive living artist and one of the most controversial. Influenced by pop culture and consumer society, he is particularly famous for his huge sculptures in the shape of inflatable balloons (Balloon Dog), steel replicas of the inflatable sculptures of our childhood aand for Puppy, a 12m high dog covered with flowers and exhibited in front of the Guggenheim in Bilbao. His work is at the crossroads between Marcel Duchamp's ready-made and Andy Warhol's pop art. Koons is a master of kitsch and a great provocateur, who is now internationally known and recognized.
