Amedeo Modigliani was born on 12 July 1884 in Livorno (Italy) and died in Paris on 24 January 1920. At the turn of the century, he began painting in his home town before moving to Paris in 1906. An emblematic figure among Parisian bohemians, writers and artists, in less than two decades he became one of the greatest painters of the twentieth century.
Exhibition at the Musée de l'Orangerie from 20 September 2023 to 15 January 2024.
