Bicorne of Napoleon at the Battle of Eylau

This line echoes the bicorne worn by Napoleon I during the Russian Campaign.

The plain beaver "little hat" was originally a piece of military uniform. It was during the Consulate, between 1801 and 1804, that Napoleon definitively adopted this hat, which quickly became legendary. The shape may vary according to fashion, but the decoration always remains simplified, without braid, adorned simply with a small black silk strap and a button holding the cockade. Today, Napoleon's bicorne is the signature of his legend.
