Mysterious, ambivalent... the unicorn has in history aroused many fantasies. Around the 1500s, then in the contemporary period, it is the object of a real craze. From 14 July 2018 to 25 February 2019, the exhibition "Magic Unicorns", presented at the Cluny Museum, National Museum of the Middle Ages testifies to the way in which the artists seized this legendary animal, through illuminated works or engraved, sculptures, tapestries, but also photographs and videos.
