The Allied landings in Normandy on June 6, 1944 were one of the most important events of the Second World War, and had a major influence on its course! During this complex operation, still legendary today, an immense quantity of equipment was used. Thanks to the official JEEP license, the Willys MB was added to the COBI range!
The world's most popular off-road vehicle and its trailer were designed on a scale of 1:35 and are made up of 200 components. The brick-built car features a brand-new color scheme, adapted to American military equipment, and is equipped with a heavy machine gun and accessories that can be stored in the trailer. Wheels with rubber tires rotate, allowing the vehicle to be moved for play. The set includes two figures representing soldiers from the US 101st Airborne Division, the "Screaming Eagles". The vehicle and figures are printed to a high quality, based on historical markings. We haven't even forgotten the details, like the badges with the characteristic eagle on the soldiers' shoulders! This set is the perfect complement to COBI's extensive WWII Historical Collection!
The Willys MB Jeep is a legendary off-road vehicle that played a key role in the Second World War. It was manufactured by the American company Willys-Overland Motors and was part of a military program to supply vehicles to the US army and its allies. The Willys MB stood out for its simple design, ruggedness and reliability in difficult terrain. Its compact size, sturdiness and ability to handle rough terrain made it a legend in automotive history. After the war, the popularity of the Jeep Willys MB contributed to the development of the Jeep brand and inspired later models of off-road vehicles. Today, the Jeep Willys MB is highly appreciated by collectors and enthusiasts of military artefacts and classic cars.
