The design of this patch is inspired by prints and ornaments from 18th century. "In the 18th century, French fashion radiated its elegance to all the courts of Europe. These motifs, inspired by the "Traité pierres précieuses et de la manière de les employer en parure" (Treatise on precious stones and the manner of using them in adornment), illustrate all the refinement of the embellishment of the period."
