The museum of Grenoble reached two hundred years in 1998. The collection of the museum began to be built in the late eighteenth century, developed in the nineteenth century and thanks to Andry-Farcy a decisive direction in favor of modern art. The Grenoble Museum retains a unique collection of works that covers the entire history of Western art from the late Middle Ages to the present day with an important section of Egyptian antiquities.
