FRENCH VERSION
The Musée Jacquemart-André à Paris in Paris celebrates Spanish Baroque art by presenting for the first time in France some forty works from the collection of the Hispanic Society of America. The special edition that accompanies this exhibition traces the evolution of Spanish art during the Golden Age, a period that marks the political and economic peak of the kingdom between the 16th and 17th centuries and sees the triumph of Baroque art with great masters such as Greco, Zurbarán, Murillo and Velázquez. It also highlights artists from the 17th and 18th centuries from Latin America or having been active there, whose works mix Western contributions to local techniques and traditions. Finally, this special series looks back at the history and abundant collection of the Hispanic Society of America, an institution founded in New York in 1904 with the aim of promoting and studying Spanish culture.
Exhibition at the Musée Jacquemart-André from March 26 to August 2, 2026.
