« Lumière Divine », an unpublished project by Jiang Qiong Er, a Franco-Chinese artist and designer whose practice explores the dialogue between cultural heritages and modernity. Designed for the four niches of the façade, the work proposes a rereading of the figures of Saint Eustachius, Saint Louis, Saint Agnes and Saint Geneviève, reflecting their virtues - courage, justice, purity, protection - in a minimalist language of symbols and golden reliefs. Light, a central medium, animates these forms by day and becomes at night a silent presence.
Beaux Arts Éditions deciphers the architecture and history of this exceptional monument, and illuminates the encounter between a place full of centuries and a resolutely contemporary creation.
