The album Bambou. Du motif à l'objet offers a richly illustrated and varied review of the objects and works presented in the exhibition, including katagami (choirs), prints, wallpapers, netsuke, ceramics, tans, baskets and various utensils. Faithful to the structure of the exhibition, the theme of bamboo is explored in different prisms. It is thus studied through its graphic qualities, as a pictorial object whose stems, leaves and shoots become patterns.
Bamboo is also considered from the point of view of its uses, whether it is used for the manufacture of everyday utensils or the production of architectural elements, with the load symbolism associated with it.
Finally, the last part of the album makes it possible to appreciate all the diversity of formal translations of bamboo.
