A little-known collection of works on paper by the greatest painters of the twentieth century. Produced by the Musée d'art Roger-Quilliot in Clermont-Ferrand, which will show them in the first half of 2024, they are representative of the major currents of modern art, of which they offer a singular vision. The five etchings of the Vollard Suite by Pablo Picasso open the exhibition, which revisits the Spanish master's relationship with engraving and publishing. This is followed by works that bear witness to modern plastic research on the themes of the strength of the line, the poetry of colour and the language of forms. An edifying crossing.
