Sandro Botticelli is undoubtedly a major painter of the Italian Renaissance. Humanist, his painting is inspired by Antiquity and takes up its canons. Botticelli is a virtuoso of painting, he creates an expressive and virile style, an experimenter he does not hesitate to use compositions and angles sometimes daring.
