				The Fondation Louis Vuitton is simultaneously presenting an exhibition dedicated to L'Atelier rouge (1911) by Henri Matisse (1869-1954) and a unique retrospective of the work of the American abstract artist Ellsworth Kelly (1923-2015). This special issue explores the life and work of Ellsworth Kelly, which are revealed in this exhibition through around a hundred pieces, paintings, sculptures but also drawings, photographs and collage retracing the visual quest of the artist between shape, color, line and space. He also returns to the history of this painting by Matisse and its importance for many American artists who will remember the French painter's experiments with form and color.
