The Musée des Arts Décoratifs and the Musée du Louvre published a book entirely devoted to the French decorative arts of the 19th century, "Revivals. Historicism in the French decorative arts in the 19th century". It is the first scientific publication on this subject in France.

This book thus offers an analysis of the development of these neostyles in the fields of interior decoration, furniture, ceramics, goldsmithery and fashion in France during this century. It questions the reappropriation and migration of forms, motifs and typologies from Antiquity, the Renaissance and the 18th century, which then irrigated all the decorative arts.
