This monograph presents the work of this ornamental sculptor, central to the development of the rocaille style, who distinguished himself in fields as diverse as woodwork, facade sculpture, architecture, prints, furniture and goldsmiths' and silversmiths' work. Drawing on the archives, the book combines thematic essays, notes on all his projects and a catalogue of some 600 drawings.
