This vintage tray features an emblematic advertisement for the Chamonix region created by Abel Faivre in 1905. In this image promoting the PLM railways, we see a female skier hurtling down a slope on the Brévent. We can immediately date this image to the woman's attire: the skirt, though highly impractical, was not abandoned until much later. This advert was aimed directly at women, as it was they who often decided where bourgeois families would go on holiday. This vintage glove box appeals for its period features and its beautiful depiction of winter sports.
