In conjunction with the exhibition on the subject at the Musée d'Orsay from March to July 2025, the history of the spectacular development of the illustrated colour poster at the end of the 19th century is retraced. At the turn of the century, the street was the focus of aesthetic, political and social change, particularly in Paris, where walls and hoardings were covered with posters.
