Because illustration has its place in museums, the Musée d'Orsay and KIBLIND are offering a collection of exclusive posters printed in risography by KIBLIND Atelier.

With the aim of initiating a timeless dialogue between artists of yesterday and today, French and international illustrators Manon Diemer, Mayumi Otero (Icinori), María Medem, Karlotta Freier, María Jesús Contreras and Jisu Choi were invited to reinterpret masterpieces from the Musée d'Orsay collections in the form of comic stories.

Maria Medem's drawings exude an uncommon serenity. It has to be said that she knows how to make us feel at home in her world. A woman of few strokes, with a sense of cutting and an admiration for the clash of colors, she makes her own the admirable motto "less is more". With this economy of means, the Spaniard invents impossible worlds in which she places characters in search of a bygone past and an intangible future. This is the case in her three comics released in France, Echoes and Cedars at Fidèle éditions and Zenith And Because of a flower with Rackham. The same is true of his contributions to the most prestigious international magazines, such as Cold Cube (Cold Cube Press) and Now (Fantagraphics). Getting lost has never been so good.
