Narrating the destiny of a man of exceptional intellectual and moral qualities, the life of the Buddha unfolds like a gesture of the mind, alternately concrete and banal or miraculous and transcendent.
Without forgetting to recall the circumstances of the appearance of Buddhism in India, around the 5th century BC, nor to mention the content of the "good law" and the main doctrinal developments that marked its development - ancient Buddhism (Theravada), Great Vehicle Buddhism (Mahâyâna) and Diamond Vehicle Buddhism (Vajrayâna).
